This is no Joke:  The only time  caught a morina was a few years ago, and while I held it steadily from its head, tried to disgorge the hook.  The blighter rolled around my arm and tried to bite me in the hand...so I paniced, and bite down hard on its head!!!!.....while telling the SOB what you can do, I can do better!!!!

I remember once Many many moons ago i joined a fishing weekend at cirkewwa with my father and uncle and loads of policemen which used to work with this uncle of mine, after the first 5 hours of fishing there where around 15+ morini held in buckets and bags (still alive) being a guy who hates killing fish I opted to trow these viscios things in a wide hole next to us. After 32 hours strait of fishing with something like 20 rods this pool was pretty much full. Guess how many cuts and bites the guys got before we headed home ?

Imo best way to handle a morina is to get a pair of scissors cut the hook line and watch it swim down.

Once me adn my grandpa caught a morina 14kilos on a 12 foot boat while collecting a deep long line. We had to stay 3 hours on the engine box waiting for it to die because every time we tried to reach it we couldn't manage because it was very powerful. So I think the best way for morini is cut the line and let it go.....................................

Why throw it away it is very good fish to eat. When I catch one when diving just hold it behind her head with gloves because it is very slippery and with the knife I cut where the upper and lower teeth join together after I put the knife between her eyes and she dies

just trow it in a sack... jump on it a bit and "Sabbata ma xi hajt" u tmut dw lol.. Get the hook out by just poping a bit it's head out after it completly dies (a few minutes) and get it out carefully.

That's all folks!

lol...The best moment after catching a morina is when i hit the sack to the wall or to the floor and than i look inside and i see a total slauther = R.I.P LOL Tongue

Ramxx if it dosen't die with the method of the "lembuba" I think if you find a "Kantun" in some corner and just throw it on it's head MAYBE it dies Tongue... LOL
