Buddhagrss it doesnt matter as long as we meet and have some fun who cares who wins, its an excuse for meeting. Real competitions will come later on when we are really organised. So take this as an experience and then we take it from there.

I totally agree Tony. Buddha, just take care of organising the event. Put it down to gaining experience. No need to be competitive. This is just a get together between friends from the forum, and a bit of squid fishing. I for one, never did squid fishing from land, so it will be a learning experience for me. The important thing is that we all meet and have some fun!

not only never fished from land but i have to go to spitec to buy some equipment as i dont have the slighest idea what it entails (imagine me competint with the experts LOL)

I totally agree with you Tony and Gaffer . We'll get some red wine and coffee/tea for those who prefer not to drink wine and we'll just gather all together sharing a laugh. So I'll guess at the moment we just see who else is coming then all we have to do is to decide a date and place . |

Sounds good to me. I thing there are 2 things to decide on. 1 is date, 2 is place. The rest is just detail.
I would suggest a Thursday, January, second week so Xmas festivities are cleared.
