you could have been wilfred owen for all i care,
now that the facts are all out and bare,
you think you're above the law, a 'hero' of our days'
but now im sick and tired of trying to change your ways.
i give up, keep on doing as you please
its not on my conscience, thus i rest at ease.

I read your good poem with great joy and with glee,
but i thought Owen played ball, how silly of me!
As for your beloved law,to break it takes guts
most often its harder than the shell of some nuts.
For sure im a hero and ill let it be known,
im my wifes superstar, and of course im my own!
If youre sick call the doctor,if tired just rest,
giving you my goodwill, wishing you all the best.
No,its not on your conscience and neither on mine,
just live and let live and quit all this useless whine.
From work please take leave and enjoy this great
hobby,
and may you catch fishes,my dearest friend Robby!

Hi James15,

I started this thread myself in May, 2010 after I had been fishing for a couple of months. I caught my first fish in June of that year. To date things have changed and I have made some good catches with a few that were quite notable.

My advice is to go for the slender minnow type lures from 12cm to 15cm, start fishing early in the morning when it is still dark, and play around with the retrieve, slow and fast, jerks and no jerks.. just try and try. Sometimes it is just luck, and other times you can be a good experienced spinner but there are no fish. Smiley

You will have follow ups of Sawrell and Cudas, its normal.. sometimes I have follow ups and no strikes on even my best of lures.

Your day will come, just don't give up!!

Hang in there.
